"We upgraded our old classic kitchenaid to this newer model. It has a lot more power even on the lower settings to mix those cookie dough recipes for Christmas cookies. The larger capacity makes it much easier to add ingredients as it is running. And the paddle with the built in wiper almost eliminates the need to push the mix down into the mixer with a spatula."

"Kitchen Aid stand mixers (bowl lift only) are the best kitchen tool ever. Tilt head ones have given me many issues in the past, less powerful motors and they wear out pretty fast. This bowl lift type has never failed me, even when what I am mixing is thick. Also there are so many amazing attachments available to do nearly anything ... meat grinders, snow cone makers, cheese graters, pasta makers to name just a few. While these are not cheap, they can easily last a lifetime and mine has a permanent place on the counter. Get it when there is a deal going on"
